Symphonic Metal Titans WITHIN TEMPTATION Announce Collaborative Project.

Netherland's finest symphonic act, Within Temptation, has announced a short series of cover releases, to promote their upcoming tour. The band is expected to go on tour with guest artists Tarja Turunen and Annisokay.

In preparation for the shows, the band lead by Sharon Den Adel has released a cover version of Tarja Turunen's hit song, "Until My Last Breath": 

Similarly, both Tarja and Annisokay will be covering Within Temptation's songs, in the next weeks. The dutch group is following a string of high profile collaborations, as they recently performed together with US' Evanescence, on a successful co-headline tour.

Oh, how I'm craving something I'll finally resonate with. Sadly, The Unforgiving was the last era I've fully resonated with (and my first one too, as I've got to know the band back in the moment, and fell in love with all of their work!). Hydra was still okay, but not as good as previous albums, but I went to a concert during that era and it was amazing! I don't remember anything from next albums except for The Reckoning.  I want this flame to reignite so badly, slay me!

I also resonate more with their previous material. Their latest releases have echoes of it, but in pieces. 

I think they just feel more comfortable nowadays with this sort of "alt rock" kind of approach which is not necessarily my thing, but glimpses of their classic appeal still remain, here and there. We'll see how it goes with their new record.
