Blackout19 10,165
Illusion is really the only good song Vino cu noi în bucătărie, adu cu tine și o farfurie.
BlingNotTheMusic 30,909
Makes sense imo. It's very inconsistent with high highs and very low lows imo. https://discord.gg/hausofdelulu

monstertoronto 8,654
I’m honestly surprised to read this. I spent 2 different weeks in London this summer and I’m not exaggerating when I say that some days every single shop I went into was playing a Dua song from this album. I know that’s a very small sample size, but the impression I got from my visit was that London was all about this album. 1
RickMonster98 7,042
it's not a bad album by any means but yeah, quite forgettable feels like it needed way more time and work to fully develop to its full potential its 3 singles were good, especially Houdini ofc

I have to be honest tho, it’s not outstanding but I cannot dislike this album. Most of the songs sounds really cool and go for a more breezy, more folksy kind of pop and I personally was here for it. Illusion is for me the only real four on the four dance pop track I can remember this year but that’s also the track that mostly resembles her past work. So I guess maybe just the timing wasn’t the best for the kind of vibe they wanted to go try. and it was right after Dance The Night which was produced by Mark Ronson and he’s known to bring the funk to town so people just left because the rush and the adrenaline just wasn’t really in this album. I don’t see anything alternative about it tbh

chromaticainmyhead 6,117
Radical Optimism had such a niche vibe that it needed much more pr imo to really hit the GP how it was meant to be and to be compared to her previous success. It leaves me thinking something was up with her label fan-tas-tique, chic, freak, slaaaay

blzr 1,512
I think the main issue with the music and the marketing, was everything was too formulaic, trying to replicate the success of future nostalgia. I think nowadays what really makes for a successful album and era is a bit of experimentation and doing things in a different way. If she delved deeper into psychedelica she would’ve been onto something. Still a great album though!
Hyperobject 66,186
I’m so confused as to what went wrong with Training Season… like it’s such a banger idc. that and Maria deserved better imo.

Honestly shop playlists in the UK rarely feel connected to whats popular in the UK charts these days.
