I never said he was a press monkey all I said was he looked not interested to be there. Thats just me as a human being watching an actor do a press conference he agreed to and thats how I looked at it. You can look at it differently if you want to.

Joaquin is very talented and I admire his charity work, and he and Rooney seem like a cute couple.

But lord, what he did to Todd Haynes was messed up and the critics are understandably out for blood. At the same time, it feels like they should be focusing on Joker 2 as the press conference is for...Joker 2.

NGL, I sort of feel bad for Todd Phillips. Yeah, he's a rich privileged white man, but a lot of his career is probably riding on this...making a quasi musical with Gaga is a relatively risky approach for a Joker film (and the budget is high). The film is in the can, it was accepted at Venice, and the man was probably feeling good about himself and the film....

.....and then Joaquin's drama came around and Todd had to know it was going to be somewhat of a distraction at Venice.

He has. Several times. Even here he explicitly refused to answer questions he didn't want to answer. An actor's job is more than just acting unfortunately. He's most likely contractually obligated to attend certain press events.

Red, black, or white. Something sort of in theme with the film and Harley.

Though I could see her going f*ck it and choosing a more typical "Gaga" gown (very colorful and dramatic, or a modernist architectural sort of look).
