j krisp 0
You're all so bitter. Who cares how the message gets out? As long as it does. Because when people aren't really serious and doing it just to get attention, people end up becoming seriously jaded about the message. Cry wolf too many times... Robotboy 1,700
#EndBullying is a top trending topic. I don't care if it's attention seeking or not, I'm glad the overall message is again being re-enforced that people need to be careful with how they treat others. Remember that you are unique. Haus 152
Umm the video was posted on August it barely went viral yesterday. Making up stuff again. Its not like you ever seen gays being dramatic no I mixed up the last login with join date, it doesn't matter when the video was posted, it's still attention whoring. And yes I am right, he was asking a ton of people to watch his video :)
Jennica 255
Whoring the video out when everything is seemingly fine now.
j krisp 0
Whoring the video out when everything is seemingly fine now. Exactly. That's what people are taking offense to. Because that kind of thing distracts from people that are ACTUALLY in need of assistance. Look at all of us fans that are already jaded. It's only going to get worse. People are posting in the Serious Talk section about "Hey, how do we get this story to Gaga???" And when people posted real options/solutions, the response is, "Oh no, they don't want to do that, we just want to get the story to Gaga." It's more and more starting to come off as attention whoring as a way to meet celebrities. And in the face of real teenage suicide, it's kind of pathetic. Jennica 255
so? hes fine now and now he wants to spread the message to stay strong and to stop bullying? how is this bad? people who are in the same situation as he was can hopefully take in the message and bullies too. It doesn't come off like that. He tweeted it when it's an old video, to several celebrities, seeking attention - which he received. The video was more of "telling his story" but he's "okay now" because he has many reasons to stay alive. His words. It wasn't really an empowering video full of advice for people experiencing the same thing but I guess it's a video showcasing what bullying does to people. It's just a bit much to tweet it to celebrities when he's okay now.

It's just a bit much to tweet it to celebrities when he's okay now. It doesn't come off like that to you because you (and all people in general) can only see it from your perspective. If you just take it at face value, it' a boy who has experienced a lot of pain, but wants to feel better, and help others feel better as well, and is doing whatever he can to spread that message of love, support, and positivity, and it's actually a really nice message. Any interpretation you have beyond face value only speaks to the frame of mind you're in and operating from, but not necessarily the absolute reality of the situation. Also, this isn't meant as a criticism or attack, so please don't take it that way! Edited December 5, 2011 by norcalmonster

Americano 31,061
I've seem the video all over Facebook and no one knows which celebrities tweeted it, etc. People are just posting about the substance of it, and how wrong it is, which I think is wonderful. Mole 0
I don't think someone would make, none the less promote a video like that with the intention of 'getting their story out'... But I'm obviously jealous. I wish Gaga tweeted me when I was depressed, bullied like ****, and suicidal :ohno: Edited December 5, 2011 by Mole
