Will she be offered less/ smaller roles? (Not being over dramatic. Just wondering if this will affect her) No, I really don't think it will hurt her at all. She's always praised even if the movies are kinda floppy, she always draws lots of positive press and attention, and she's been recognized as a box office draw. Also, everyone who's worked with her has nothing but wonderful things to say about her talent, dedication, work ethic, etc. THAT matters a whole lot in the industry. If your directors, producers, co-stars love you, word gets around. She'll continue to be in demand, no doubt

lilboyblue 3,795
10/10 full review from Scott Menzel: "Lady Gaga’s performance as Harley Quinn rivals her performance in A Star is Born. While I adored Gaga’s work in A Star is Born, what she does with the role of Harley Quinn challenges her as a performer and is a next-level performance." "The performances by Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga are two of the best performances that you will see all year. I wouldn’t be surprised if you see them receive Best Actor and Best Supporting Actress nomination." https://weliveentertainment.com/welivefilm/venezia-81-review-joker-folie-a-deux-lady-Gaga-joaquin-phoenix/ Edited September 4 by lilboyblue

gemein3 1,030
Too many whining about random reviews when the conversation should be how massive this movie will be with the GP (who couldn’t care less what any of these people reviewing it have to say) and how much exposure Gaga will have as she releases new music. Enjoy the art and stop reading and typing ! 2 1
River 104,839
I gave the first movie 6/10 on imdb lol It's not that it was bad, it was good, Joaquin performance was great, but the story as a whole was weak. I could play the moderator, I can ban you, die sis.
adoga 528
I'm sorry, but i don't get why do you care so much about the critics and awards, like if i love a movie (or any other type of art) i will love it no matter what the critics are saying or how many awards did it won However, ofc the critics are mixed, ever since they announced it and it was known to be some sort of a musical, it was kind of logical that this would be a love/hate it type of a thing. So just wait a month more and then decide for yourself if you love it or not and don't let these things affect you so much, it's really not healthy behavior 5 1 2
moonsago 6,518
Honestly, the movie will smash at the box office regardless of the reviews which were mixed with the first one as well. People don’t care about reviews, it’s a very small group that do, the hype from the first one alone will make people go see this one too. I am just glad the general consensus on Gaga’s acting is good, THAT’s what matters the most to us. She will have her massive leading lady moment one day, this is just her 3rd film.

It doesn't really matter critically, maybe for awards but not for offers. Gaga's main career isn't an actress (which will always be a strength and hinderance for her) so she doesn't have to rely on an offer to be ready in the wings when this premieres in theaters. For other actors thats usually a sign they are taking a break or something is happening. Edited September 4 by HIM820
