Gaga worked with Mark Ronson on Chillin with Wale, Amy worked with Tony for the duetts album as well... I am pretty sure introduced by mutual respected friends/collaborators there would be a good vibe. Also lets not forget Gaga was constantly high during that time as well, they might have endet up party buddys.
