MOT 2,788
Leave Joe alone please, the world owes him a lot (tell me I'm wrong). Politically he is a fool imo, but that's just a part of him, and I'm sure Gaga loves him. I have a theory about Joe. I think he's a frustrated rockstar. He was the guy who played all that music at home when Gaga was even smaller than she is now. And there's a scene in ASIB where Ally's father says something like 'I knew a dozen guys who could sing Sinatra under the table but they just never got the breaks'. The character is talking about himself - I think his buddies even laugh at him for it - and I suspect it's in there to troll Joe. And that's at the back of all these appearances on Fox, Joe sees himself as a star.

He just wants the spotlight tbh

That’s no excuse to basically throw your own daughter under the bus by publicly and proudly supporting the guy who sicked his millions of followers at Gaga back in 2020. 1

Like why else would they bring him on? It's to shove it in Gaga's face that "hey u liberal LGBTQ icon queen, your OWN dad agrees with us hahahaha". This is why they bring him on. Does he just not care about his OWN daughter who love him so much, who invested in his ugly restraurant with RATs everwhere @Rat Boy and who she made album call Joanne to honor his own sister so he can heal? HE DO THIS TO Gaga? I am tired of this man. I dont know this man. He's a heterosexual man, there is no nuance there is no love just riding Trumps d1ck. wahkeenasitka 1,990
Honestly, this policy proposal of eliminating taxes on tips for people who work in service industry jobs JUST MAKES SENSE. It's so freaking obvious and would benefit so many people. It is frankly ridiculous that people who work in service industry jobs have to report their tips and be taxed on them. It doesn't matter, IMHO, who proposed this policy.. This can only benefit service workers. It's really important for y'all to be a lot less ideologically one-sided and biased, this policy proposal has nothing to do with Trump and is only about helping working class people.

A Very Gaga Holida 22,178
When was the last time we saw Gaga and Joe together? Or that she mentioned him? I feel that it’s ALWAYS her and her mother, and rightfully
gagzus 15,259
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it a thousand times; Americans should just get a minimum wage like the rest of the world does pretty much and thus eliminating the need to live on tips. The only reason tips are taxed in the first place is because it’s essentially people’s wage not a “tip”.

I dont fully agree tbh. I think its not really fair to only give people in specific industries a tax break and not others of simmilar income levels... With tips a restaurant server does not necessairily make less than someone working at mcdonalds or a cashier at Walmart yet under this proposal they will pay LESS taxes than their other respective low wage counterparts There are other ways to help the low income more broadly such as lowering the overall tax rate for 1st income bracket or creating a no tax grace bracket like we have here in Canada where the 1st $10,000 you make are not taxed at all for example This way ALL low income people get to benefit in lower taxes not just those in specific industries where tips are a thing I think it makes no sense at all. I think we should let the income tax brackets decide how much of that your gonna pay in taxes. If anything needs to be changed then change it there Imagine someone works at a gourmet restaurant or is a bar tender at a busy bar. They will make a LOT MORE than that Walmart Cashier. No, if you let income tax brackets do their jobs, you will never let unfair situations like that arise

The only reason tips are taxed in the first place is because it’s essentially people’s wage not a “tip”. Ud need to make it law tho to stop asking for tips because its so culturally ingrained In Canada we tip too and my Province mandated that tip earners must make minimum wage as well some 5 or 6 years ago but the tip expectations did not decrease in fact after pandemic just like in the US they rose So now we pay the higher prices to pay for the full minimum wage but were still expected to tip 20% anyway and most restaurant servers here now many more hourly than I do and more than a lot of ppl but we still have to tip them big anyway Minimum wage is nor a livable i get it but when they mandated full minimum wage i thought at lest instead of 18% we could do 10% but no it raised to 20% So if Ontarios experience is anything to say... mandating minimum wage wont reducee tip expectations Edited August 25, 2024 by Economy Typo
