Yeah it's probably awful to be harassed in public constantly.  But John Waters made a great point in his autobiography.  He said something to the effect of "those fans are the reason you're able to make millions of dollars.  If I can afford multiple homes and never have to worry financially ever again, the least I can do is take a picture with those who make that possible"

Idk it's a complicated issue, and I think the line between normal fan behavior and danger can be very thin sometimes.  Like, I don't think anyone should have to tolerate threats to their safety.  I can also understand being thrust into the spotlight so fast and suddenly having to deal with fame is probably difficult and disorienting.  

I guess if I ever see Chappell Roan in public, I'll mind my own business 🤷‍♂️

Love her music and her artistry, she’s someone I’d definitely see in concert if the opportunity came up.
 

On one hand, yes, people need to understand their boundaries. Leave her family alone, stop the harassment, either listen to her music or don’t. 

On the other, she has been granted a platform that many could only dream of. She is making money that many could only dream of, and that is entirely due to the fans who keep her in demand.

If she doesn’t want to take pictures or engage with people in public, well, that is her right and hopefully fans can accept that inaccessibility. With time and experience, perhaps she can grow into this position and realize that with this level of success comes a drawback - you are not some random girl anymore, you are a famous artist.

Not every new artist who is extravagant and wears strange outfits has to be seen as the new Gaga. 

This girl is miles away from being the biggest artist since Gaga even tho i wish her the best on her journey cuz she looks like a down to earth and genuine person 

Literally last week I likened her rise to that of Gaga's, something we haven't seen since Gaga. She went from noone to ABSOLUTELY HUGE in like a week it was insane. Now she's a household name. I haven't even listened to her music yet except the few songs that constantly play everywhere, but from the outside I can still see how huge she is

I don’t care what anyone says, she 100% signed up for this kind of life. If she wanted to receive less fame then perhaps she could have thought about her choices of her pop music and fashion. It’s definitely not okay to stalk her family but a fan asking for a photo is what she needs to accept, it doesn’t seem like she’s ready for this type of lifestyle, like her target audience is screaming at Stan culture lol
