I saw it the other day and thought it was an actual adaptation of Boccaccio's book but the fact that it's a comedy turned me off so much idk

Soft, soothing, and succulent

idk I really liked it... What's there to hate? It's just a mindless entertainment and I'm here for it.

As researcher who published on Boccaccio's works: they should have called this thing "Another Bridgertone spinoff" and call it a day

I mean, the original book works so well, with all the fun material... I'll never understand Netflix, but maybe that's why I don't have the subscription

Nothing to hate but us Italians get very defensive when foreign productions revisit our ancient classics. It's an innate cultural thing, since we're educated with those books since we're basically toddlers

I haven't watched the series, but boccaccio's book is a comedy, too.

Yeah I worded my comment weirdly, it's not the Netflix kind of comedy if you know what I mean? There's this specific genre of 'old times' comedy shows that makes me cringe so hard
