I think just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it’s not great. You can still dislike jazz music and be able to recognize that the album was well executed, the production is exquisite and Gaga’s vocals are amazing as always. If it doesn’t please your taste that’s okay, but there’s no need to diminish its quality. 4 1 1

Ok maybe the frozen broccoli was not the right analogy, lets call harlequin fish sauce, an acquired but necessary taste

I genuinely enjoy Gaga's jazz music and other non-pop music (e.g., Joanne). For me, Harlequin has replay value. Also, Gaga's fan population is surely different from GP. I think the GP has not discovered the album yet. Isn't it too early to say that Harlequin does not have replay value? Also, by who's standard? 2) I see many here enjoy talking about celebrities including Katy Perry. Who to say she should be censored?
julz 5,540
Can we not go against Katy or any other artists in this thread, this is supposed to be a positive thread to celebrate Gaga's chart wins, thats it. Please please please (by SC) 5

Just A Holy Fool 2,402
The best chart is Gaga herself and she seems so happy at comfortable with her art at this moment. I am so happy for her. And let’s celebrate that her and Bruno have a song that has been leading Global Spotify for 36 days, the most days at #1 this year.

Ok maybe the frozen broccoli was not the right analogy, lets call harlequin fish sauce, an acquired but necessary taste I understand your point of view. Even though it can’t be defined as a jazz album, Harlequin undeniably features a lot of jazz songs that aren’t as appealing as pop songs. But even if I wasn’t a Gaga fan, I would definitely prefer Harlequin to 143 based on my music taste. My point is jazz music might never be as popular as pop music, but there’s a big and engaged public that can find lots of personal value in Harlequin. And not only jazz listeners, but soul listeners, rock listeners, blues listeners… The general public hasn’t had the time to discover this album and I believe it will organically grow. It has an amazing ballad with potential to make DWAS numbers. Edited September 30 by Nessun Dorma 1
Zaskar 3,735
I feel like Harlequin hasn’t been discovered by Jazz listeners, solely due to the fact a common jazz listener wouldn’t associate a Lady Gaga album, named after a comic book character, based off a DC movie to be a jazz album. There’s a market for jazz music as well. Even Norah Jones have like 9M monthly listeners. once the movie is out, the album will stabilise. 3

Luna Lovegood 22,438
y’all having meltdowns comparing Harlequin and 143 numbers when Harlequin is a Jazz album, Gaga’s extra side project, while 143 is POP music, Katy’s anticipated album. Gaga’s ‘floor’ compared to Katy’s ceiling. They’re not on the same league. Coming off from Love4Sale and Cheek to Cheek, Harlequin is doing FINE. luna’s advocate 3

River 104,815
checking her socials, you can see a lot of boomers loving the album, I think she's hoping that people will discover the music through the movie so that's why there's a little promo so far, also surprise releases always started with the fans streaming like crazy and then stabilized with the gp. This album is actually very very gp and very american friendly.. I could play the moderator, I can ban you, die sis. 4 1
