The song smashing on its own also means there's no desperate need to promote it (see the weekend's lead single and what the label is doing over there). Interscope said so https://www.billboard.com/pro/lady-Gaga-and-bruno-mars-die-with-a-smile-global-smash-how/ they claim they spent weeks planning to treat it like “an album”.
