Based on what I've read online, Ariana Grande songs 7 Rings and Thank U Next were on "Power Rotation" and were played 15-18x in a day by 1 radio station on a certain week in 2018/2019. Or is this a total accumulated spins, referring to the number after the song title. The first number is total weekly spins by pop format stations. The second one in brackets the change compared to the same day last week. Spins are used for Billboard Pop airplay chart. The 13.728 is the audience impression that Billboard uses for the Hot 100 and Radio Songs chart. The bigger the station that plays the song, the more radio AI you can get.
Real Panda 7,592
1 minute ago, palma said: it's the latter I think. And the one next to it enclosed in parenthesis is the increase or decrease in daily spins, right? So for example #1 is Sabrina's Please Please Please and it has "(-195)" so that means it received 195 spins but its negative because it reached less audience by 358,000? Right? Power rotation is on top of every hour ( so it ends up being played 18-20 times) Sub/ semi power is on top of every 2 hours so it ends up being played 10-12 times. So when people say that an artist has a radio deal it means that the label pays a promoter so they push the song on radios. So the song gets instantly put on the power rotation playlist. Every major artist gets that for the first week of a new release.
