Points difference between DWAS and #1 song is 73 points. I fear if they’re not releasing any Vinyls or live performances/lyric videos to push the streaming numbers DWAS is gonna be the #1 Hot 100 that got away I fear… but then again 73 points is still a huge difference idk if Vinyls and live performance can challenge for #1 because radio is severely lacking right now… well at least DWAS is fighting ig 😭 luna’s advocate

Hyperobject 66,768
it’s lowkey pissing me off how the top two most steamed songs in the USA rn can’t even crack top 3, because of the radio… how wtf. 2
LordByron28 859
Some of y’all need to be more patient. It’s consistently rising on radio with sizable gains. It’s on 5 different formats with Urban and Rhythmic being usually hit or miss with Gaga. It’s been steadily rising in streams and on a global scale has yet to peak in Europe and Latin America. Streams on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music have been incredibly consistent and strong. The songs of the summer are slowly fading. Fingers crossed for a filmed performance being aired at the VMAs with an official YouTube upload of a live performance the Friday after.

It pisses me off that radio is still such a huge factor on the Hot 100. That's what I miss about the old Rolling Stone chart that shut down a few years ago – they didn't have a radio component and I feel like it much better reflected what people are actually *choosing* to listen to 2

smitherz 2,106
to be totally honest… I’d rather a stable top 10 performance with no vinyls, slowed up, slowed down, instrumental trickery… I think it’s kinda lame and thirsty. A stable hit sounds much better to me than a quick flash in the pan #1 fueled by record label tricks 3
smitherz 2,106
also there’s this disclaimer when buying The Weeknd’s album… we may be safe from his album bomb for a while… https://x.com/wakas3rdcousin/status/1832500799173489154?s=46&t=0f0mhlmYZbedQaSX6W6O2g (sorry forgot how to embed from mobile) Edited September 8 by smitherz
