I mean, he's the first president to stand on a picket line and the amount of legislation he's signed to benefit the middle and lower class is incredible A middle class kid from Scranton who grew up and genuinely cares about people. Even with the ugly holes you can poke in that image, I still find him to be something of an inspiration. Same with Kamala! The daughter of two immigrants growing up in the Bay Area, entering the legal field to protect victims like her best friend, and riding that cause all the way to the White House Needless to say I'm content with my current political party's leaders Whimsical bitch

I’m not weighing in my personal feelings here I’m just saying that the most memorable part of his presidency will probably be this re-election business. I mean. That was seismically historic. That and the protests for the Mideast that have been going nearly a year. *im not poking holes I’m reading the news lmao you can appreciate their politics while also being like damn objectively speaking this one thing became an outsized part of your term as president. though also weird to call what I said poking holes in his image lol again, I just stated facts of what he himself did which is that he’s condoned this human rights nightmare much the same as Obama did with drone bombings and bush did with the invasion of Iraq. this isn’t poking holes they’re human atrocities. But that’s beside my actual point which is objectively speaking, despite the good things he did, those have received very little attention compared to his reelection bid and handling of Palestine. like, Obama being president for gay marriage passing actually made impact in the news cycle. So it’s more genuinely part of his legacy whereas this, lovely as it is, barely made a ripple in the pond bc the campaign stuff and Palestine stuff swallowed it up. So like I said, it’s a bit of a shame the great parts of his legacy is going to be pretty marred by the bad
