I hope everyone keeps in mind that billboard doesn’t publish these lists as a serious journalistic endeavor, it’s literally just a click farm.

New Drop, new order prediction:

#8 Lady Gaga

#7 Justin Bieber

#6 Kanye West

#5 Drake

#4 Britney Spears

#3 Rihanna

#2 Taylor Swift

#1 Beyonce

Alternatively:

#8 Justin Bieber

#7 Kanye West

#6 Lady Gaga

#5 Drake

#4 Rihanna

#3 Britney Spears

#2 Beyonce

#1 Taylor Swift

Sadly, I don’t think there’s much of a chance for Ga to crack top 5

Britney on top 3? When was her peak and until when? Cause i was thinking she starts to fade way too early from charts and discography in general. No?

I can see Rihanna on top or Beyonce 🤢 or Taylor 🤢. Yeah i wish for Gags but lets pray for a top 5 and higher than Britney and Justin.

As i can see they don't count chart success only but a general impact on pop culture.

There’s no way in hell Britney is charting higher than Gaga.

Britney had a successful career until 2012, when she released Scream & Shout and hosted the X-Factor. Then it went downhill.

Effectively, Britney was huge from 1999 until 2012. 13-14 years.

Gaga’s already been around for 15 years and there’s no sign of stopping. She’s consolidated her place as a legendary performer while Britney’s singing voice and dancing really aren’t even comparable to when she started in the 90s.

Gaga is definitely charting higher than Britney, there’s no question about that.

Britney broke in 1998. She was huge in 98 and especially 1999. Huge. But if that doesn't count, I can't see her charting higher than Gaga, Rihanna, etc. Not Britney's fault, of course. But if her biggest year is technically ineligible, then she really should be no higher than 7 or 8.

I understand and will accept if Beyonce is ranked higher than Gaga, but I swear if they rank Rihanna higher :dom:

If Avril Lavigne somehow takes one of these top eight spots I’ll be so happy! I don’t really expect she will. Although I am surprised she didn’t even get an honorable mention but Olivia did.

I don't know why anyone cares about the list, Rolling Stones has absolutely zero impact in pop culture right now, and no influence in the conversation either :laughga:. Is not like anyone will care about the results after a week anyways, lol.

Even during Lady Gaga's peak, they already were like a vintage thing. And that was a decade ago. They are even less influential now :ladyhaha:

This will ONLY mean a thing for stan Twitter, for like... a week, and the everyone will collectively forget about it. If I had to take a guess... they did named Lady Gaga as "the new Queen of Pop" back in the days, and their criteria seemed heavily sales/chart based.

Number one now will probably be Taylor Swift, and deservingly so, she is a cultural fenomenon whether or not we find her to be boring. Taylor is, as of now, that girl, and will most likely take the #1 spot.

If absolutely everything you release goes number 1, it means you're doing something right. She deserves it too, IMO, even if I don't like her :iamfair:.

But this is a Billboard list, not RollingStones :oprah:
