I absolutely agree on her career not going in a positive direction, and it’s really at a crisis point. I even giggle at the jab at “even the gays won’t listen to”. I think it’s bad, but so embarrassingly bad it’s better to forget it was even a thing because yikes. I would be mortified and not well in this situation and definitely spiral. Somehow I struggle with both Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj right now. I just feel… bad for them. I don’t get the sense that either are bad people, but both are also clearly not doing/behaving great. Luke issue but the video is commenting on the overall album that’s not even out yet. If she didn't want the lashings by the public and the media, she could've easily worked with any one of the tens of thousands of producers who aren't (alleged) rapists. The only risk she took was in working with someone whose image has been forever tainted by their reprehensible actions. Musically? The least risky move ever. She ran back to her former collaborator, who worked with her back in her heyday, to desperately try and secure a hit. This is all so disingenuous.
