I know Whitmer has said she's not interested, but she has been going through the vetting process. The only reason I can think of that it would be Pritzker is because he can bring a lot of money to the campaign since he and his family are billionaires. That would open up a special election for the seat in a state that could go either way when the Senate is bound to be super close and is already seeing a relatively close Senate race even with a complete psycho like Kari Lake running.... The Governors that are being considered are safe bets as most of them are from swing states, termed out, and/or have Democratic Lt. Govs that could take over and not roll back progress.
