This is quite the gamble - most Democrats see the party nominating someone with zero votes is… well not great.

81 Million Americans voted for Kamala Harris to be next in line in case something happened to Biden, aka to be the backup President. The party is just nominating the person next in line now that something HAS happened to Biden, and he's dropped out the race.

When I think about it it's kinda ridiculous that the coconut meme and the Charli XCX Brat endorsement are actually helping her campaign :huntyga:  I guess that's how you win over the young generation. Whatever it is though god I hope it works. Keep laughing at coconut queen Mamala if it sways your vote, please

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

new polls are out and Trump is beating Harris MORE than he was beating Biden.. guess we will see. :deadbanana:

Polls are a snapshot and essentially meaningless, especially this far out from the election.

Exactly. This is all completely normal and by-the-book.

Plus while the polls asking about the hypothetical match up of Trump v Harris had Trump doing about 2-3% better vs his Biden contest numbers. They also had Harris doing 2-3% better than Biden did. And all results for both Biden v Trump & Harris v Trump returned results well within the margin of error.

They did indeed, it indicates movement but the crucial thing for Harris is to run a strong and formidable campaign and position herself well against Trump. It’s totally doable and thankfully it’s looking like a coronation essentially at the DNC which is crucial. If they keep unified and strong it’s the Dems to lose, Trump’s campaign is in a bad place now, all that money invested against a candidate no longer standing and a tragic VP nom in Vance, one that even makes Dan Quayle palatable. Tbh that would be a good attack line, it took Dan Quayle to persuade Mike Pence, your former VP Trump, to preserve democracy, that says a lot.

What I find funny is there was a recent thing going around Politics twitter where the usual anonymous briefers had basically said that Trump selected Vance as VP because they were convinced Biden would stay and they had nothing to worry about xD

That’s what the news and pundits are saying, apparently Trump didn’t like Vance’s speech at the RNC and they’re already discussing replacing him 😂
