Therefore, it is an advantage to pick as Vice Pres someone who features characteristics that Pres Nom doesn't have. It is a strategic mistake of Trump to choose again a middle white guy. The Dems choose Kamala (female, migrant) and gained extra votes from her position, which contributed perhaps to Biden's victory in 2020. Trump doing the same mistake again.
