This is honestly quite strange. No matter the actual quality of the song, a single from a MPG is always pushed by a label to a point where it necessarily reaches a threshold, if only because of the forced exposure. It’s pretty clear that the label is not backing this track, no matter how much money they’ve thrown at the making of it. The cancellation of her listening party is also pointing to that.

Yeah, the Label is backing it, I mean a huge budget Music Video an extensive, global Promo Campaign and lots of Radio Payola. The Public just doesn't connect to the Song. Whether that is of Luke, the Sound of it or both. It just is what it is.
