Anyone else thinks self-esteem, self-love songs are mostly cringy?

When it feels forced and/or childish, yeah. That's my problem with most of Katy's or Ava Max's attempts, for example. 

But I understand how even those might resonate with different people/demographics.

I know it is subjective.  Kind of a toss up for me.  I think P!nk's "Raise Your Glass" is one that teeters on it for me. (Love her, though...right Thorgy?).

I like empowerment songs from more singer/songwriters rather than pop bops...

It's all about the lyrics imo. If it's uncreative and straight up "I can do what I want because I'm strong" then I cringe but if it's more creative I like it
