NOW can this push Biden to step down? This just invigorated Trump's base and something needs to happen to invigorate the Dems.

It doesn’t matter at this point. I don’t think even Michelle Obama could beat Trump after today.

He’s gonna win all the swing states, plus blue leaning states like Virginia, New Mexico, Colorado etc. It’s so over.

Honestly curious to see if the polls will be greatly affected. All these other events have barely moved the needle and it gets closer again as time passes. This may be the same way.

Well until the next crazy thing happens and people forget about this :laughga:

This isn't even the first time someone's tried to assassinate him.

(Okay yes this contradicts what I said earlier about invigorating his base, but who the hell knows what's gonna happen anymore)

Do you feel him sir?

I’m sorry but you need to calm down, that is not set in stone.

It probably won’t change much, anyone that was already anti-Trump isn’t gonna jump back to him.

The country is literally on the verge of a civil war. I think even Joker 2 will eventually be postponed due to how close it is to the election.

No it won’t. Stop trying to bring Gaga into this mess when it has nothing to do with her.

4th Time Around

This is what fear mongering does, it creates a dangerous climate of political instability where anything can happen. That is not the America anyone wants to live in. Ironically it was Trump himself who kicked off the era of fear mongering politics when he deciced to run for president in 2016

Now it's not enough to disagree with somebody's politics, now we need to make everything seem apocalyptic in scale. "Biden is the worst president in US history, "Trump is the next Adolf Hitler plotting to overthrow democracy as we know it", "democrats are trying to flood our country with migrants to help their election chances", anybody who votes for Trump is a radical right wing lunatic bent on crushing peoples rights", "the left stole the 2020 election with mass voter fraud"

Does anybody else see the danger in this type of rhetoric? If you are someone who refuses to view things in a nuanced way, you are complicit in these problems because you are helping to spread dangerous narratives

Here is your throat back, thanks for the loan

There’s a huge difference between rhetoric and facts. Trump said himself that he’d be a dictator on day one, Trump has made fun of the victims of political violence for years, he owns this.

Hopped over here and I think people are being a bit dramatic over this in my honest opinion

The people who push the “It’s over” message are apart of the problem that is giving the far right the ammunition they need to actually make it over. If you’re genuinely concerned about the future, choosing to participate locally in getting the word out and getting people passionate to not let their rights be taken (Abortion, LGBT, etc.) would be a much better use of time then sitting on feelings of doomsday
