I just saw the official footage. The sounds of the bullets and the crowd is terrifying. I don't care what side you're on, gun violence has no place anywhere. That there's any level of debate going on about this shows just how much political views infect our brains to the point where we completely forget about a person's humanity. A spectator was killed, so it affects more than just Trump. Anyone who is pro gun control must keep up the same energy for this situation. Gun violence doesn't magically become funny or just when it happens to someone you dislike and if it does, then maybe it's time for some soul searching.

I cannot understand people who think this was staged.

All of America ever since Donald Trump 2016 is a Reality Show, but it is a Real unscripted Reality Show and the event wasn't staged. The shooter had a real dangerous gun that can shoot from a distance of more than 120-130 meters.

And some of you haven't been following the war in Ukraine, there people use guns  that can fire several KILOMETERS (yes, guns can fire as far as that, not only rockets). This isn't 1924, we are in 2024.

The Secret Service obviously made mistakes and underestimated risks.

He was only shot once. There were more bullets being shot and I’m sure some of the ones you hear in the video are secret service taking the shooter out. 
The secret service was shielding him with their bodies. I’m pretty sure he just did that on his own. It almost looks like they were trying to keep him down but couldn’t. That’s just speculation from me though. 
The person that died was a member of the public. Threw his daughter and wife down and shielded them. Regardless of your political views, it’s sad that that happened.

Biden said in his press conference earlier today that an investigation is underway about what happened/went wrong with the secret service, and that the report will be shared.

Tell that to the conservative nut jobs who literally make a joke of the countless children massacred in the many school shootings that have happened, the queer people murdered at Pulse, the list goes on and on. It’s really hard to have any sympathy for these kinds of people.

Yes its weird that the security was informed about the gunman and did nothing. They also did not secure surrounding buildings or keep an eye on them. How did multiple regular people spotted the gunman multiple times while they did not?

But he is actually a threat to Democracy, so just because someone tried to kill him, doesnt mean we should allow his threat to Democracy.

Now I dont believe what crazy people are saying about Trump turning the country into a dictatorship, but he is putting Democracy a step backwards with the supreme court.

I just wish Biden would commit an intentional crime to challenge the new supreme court ruling saying we cant investigate a presidents crime. This will force the supreme court to reverse their decision.
