At this point people just take it as "that's just Eminem thing" since he never really was meant what he said  in malicious way, and moved on.

He got called out for it loads. Probably the only person back then who did get called out for that kind of stuff. Eminem was free publicity for virtually every politician in the 90s and early 00s. If anyone got called out in the 2000s for contributing to the absolute hellscape that was celebrity status then it was Eminem. Austrlia tried to ban him at one point. The Secret Service at one point had an open investigation on him for rapping about wanting George Bush dead (this also happened again when he said similar **** about Trump & Ivanka Trump lol). 

And that's probably why he now doesn't really get asked about it unlike literally everyone else who was famous back then. Because he wasn't the one going without criticism at the time.

M&Ms the rapper x bully who was constantly dissing Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Micheal Jackson, Amy Winehouse and almost every female that was hot and popular. The man that spread rumours of having a sexual relationship with Mariah Carey and eventually faked her voice in "alleged" voicemails to make her look like a liar. The man that was using homophobic lyrics. That man is still successful and not cancelled? All that because he is a white male rapper. Pathetic.
