Then again, I think letting him stay on would cause more chaos than installing KH. Impressions and appearances count for something - you can't approach a floating voter and reassure them with Biden. He might have done a good job on the economy, but sadly most of the population is stupid and can't think critically about what constitutes success. So unfortunately things like this matter.
