killme89 1,438
The DNC is still paying for denying Bernie sanders the nomination he deserved. It created a domino effect that we are still dealing with. Very sad.

Pelosi was not misquoted. She got on Biden’s favorite show that she knows he watches, made sure she didn’t explicitly say that she wanted Biden to run, even when the reporter pushed her in that direction, then said that she wanted everyone to hold off on voicing their opinions until after this week because of the NATO conference. That doesn’t sound like Biden has his party in check and everything is going smoothly. Otherwise a seasoned politician like Pelosi wouldn’t have left room for interpretation and just said she wanted Biden to keep running and he would be the nominee. All I could find were articles saying he was concerned and wanted to see more data on how Biden was doing but he would still support him as the nominee. Are you referring to that? I'm sorry, but even if she does well in these hypothetical match-ups against Trump, I just don't see the US electing a Black/Asian female president. It's sad, but it's no secret that Trump has elevated racism, misogyny, and all kinds of bigotry since he started running for president. With the state of America rn, I can't see her winning. This “america is too bigoted for x” lie has to be retired It’s “lesson” #28299922371 from 2016 in importance except it’s only highlighted by over amplified fringe crazies who were never leaving the republicans anyway because Dems appealing to the moderate right will never win them support, hillary’s boring policies and messy record play bad campaigning are the real reasons she barely lost and to think America hasn’t gotten less bigoted 8 years ago bc of a few crazies online? I just strongly disagree Kamala would wipe up Trump with ease, actually

It was framed as him saying he's concerned with Biden after the bad debate but his full quote was him being concerned about him winning because of what we'd lose if Trump won and that Biden has his full support. 22 minutes ago, SourAndy said: Oh dear. Are we also going to bring up the standing ovation and supportive quotes from world leaders he got from his NATO speech or are we just focusing on every slip up the public speaker has during a day of public speaking for the sake of confirmation bias? I just strongly disagree Kamala would wipe up Trump with ease, actually How would she wipe up Trump with ease though? You could lobby many of the same criticisms people have on Biden (minus the age thing) onto Kamala since she's part of his administration. She also had her own set of problems before she became his vice president. Imo what's stopping Biden from winning isn't Trump, but rather people who are unenthusiastic about either candidate to bother voting—particularly when it comes to the younger vote. Neither Biden nor Trump excite young voters, and while Kamala is comparatively more "exciting," her policies generally aren't progressive enough for those who crave actual change. She's still very much representative of the establishment in DC. And I'm not saying that Trump all of a sudden made America bigoted. America's been bigoted since its inception. But I think it'd be dishonest to say that Trump's influence hasn't amplified hate crimes and rhetoric over the past 8 years. And no, I don't think it's just a "few crazies online." Trump still has a lot of support. It's literally why we're having this discussion about whether or not Biden can beat him. 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔪𝔬𝔫𝔰𝔱𝔢𝔯 𝔱𝔬𝔯𝔢 𝔞𝔴𝔞𝔶 𝔦𝔱𝔰 𝔪𝔞𝔰𝔨 𝔞𝔫𝔡...𝔦𝔱𝔰 𝔣𝔞𝔠𝔢 𝔴𝔞𝔰 𝔪𝔦𝔫𝔢.
