I find the narrative around this album very odd. The number of people chanting from the sidelines to “stay in her lane” is demoralizing. I don’t think it’s a perfect project by any measure, but Camila has gained some respect from me for at least trying something different for her. It’s also obvious from interviews that she’s super passionate about this project, and I can’t help but get excited when an artist is so excited about their work. Good for her

this is her first album with Interscope too and it seems like there was little marketing budget. I Luv It was going viral for weeks back in April and they never sent it to radio...

I'm glad she's exploring new sounds despite that sound not really being for me. I look forward to a return to latin pop, or an influence of, in the future.
