NEW YORK (AP) — The leader of a conservative think tank orchestrating plans for a massive overhaul of the federal government in the event of a Republican presidential win said that the country is in the midst of a “second American Revolution” that will be bloodless “if the left allows it to be.”

Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts made the comments Tuesday on Steve Bannon’s “War Room” podcast, adding that Republicans are “in the process of taking this country back.”

Roberts’ remarks shed light on how a group that promises to have significant influence over a possible second term for former President Donald Trump is thinking about this moment in American politics. The Heritage Foundation is spearheading Project 2025, a sweeping road map for a new GOP administration that includes plans for dismantling aspects of the federal government and ousting thousands of civil servants in favor of Trump loyalists who will carry out a hard-right agenda without complaint.

I recommend watching this episode. It’s about half an hour but very informative.

The issue is chronic. From Dump to any future candidates to anything related to that disease of a "political" party and their lobbyist groups. They will bring in a new wave of fascism across the globe that's even more pronounced than what is already happening more and more.

Depends on what they do and how they do it. The Supreme Court bulldozing any possible precedent currently is a good example of things the next Democrat president could not undo. There's ways Republicans have enshrined their power that piss on the country and the government it's supposed to be (Supreme Court, gerrymandering, castrating education).

I really believe if this is possible to happen Democrats would have done the same thing to gain this kind of power. Thats why I dont think it will be possible? But I dont know much about the ins and out of the American system, so I dont know..

The point is to avoid damage in the first place.

Would you allow an arsonist to start a house fire, saying, “guys don’t worry… let it burn for a while, the firefighters will probably get here at some point to put it out”  ?

Yes obviously, im was just trying to see if the next president cant fix the damage once its done.

I completely disagree, I think the Democrats and the Democratic voters are as bad. Its just part of human nature and power. I mean Democrats already have a version of project 2025 against Progressives.
