Yikes, This kinda backfired.

In my delusion, I had hoped they would be a collective call for both candidates to step down especially considering trumps legal trouble but even that seems to have been somehow sorted out and it seems like all it did was reaffirm trumps support and expose the cracks in the democrats trust in their candidate which I don't even blame them for having.

What already happened in 2016 will repeat, which shouldnt be a big deal. But alot are saying Trump will go forward with Project 2025, but I dont know if thats legally possible! But many believe its going to happen and the country will turn into actual dictatorship.

But Project 2025 is not a new concept though, the Democrats have the same project when it comes to not allowing Progressives into power too..

Im not American though, im just sharing my opinion.

Trump will abuse his executive powers as he has said “retribution” 

He will pack the courts with loyalists and extremists who will bend the law in order to serve him and his fascist fantasies.

He will nominate more SCOTUS judges, effectively guaranteeing a conservative majority for the rest of our lives. 

He will go after immigrants, women’s rights, LGBT rights

He will make way for Project 2025 because these people are supporting his campaign and he is serving their vision 

His proposed tariffs would make inflation worse

He will take no action on climate change, guns, healthcare access expansion

I didn't think he would. And to be perfectly honest, I don't think he should. I've said before that I don't know if last week's debate performance will still matter by November, and I stand by that. I think many of the think pieces people are putting out there are pretty reactionary. His performance in the debate was abysmal, but many things can happen between now and November.

None of that is to say that the critiques against his age and mental acuity are invalid—they very much are valid—but I don't think the Democratic party has it in them to put forward a different nominee and campaign for them. Like, let's be honest y'all. Do you think the same Democratic party that is currently fumbling the bag at promoting an incumbent president—the same Democratic party that hasn't had a consistent and core message since Biden took office—is capable of turning around and hardcore campaigning for a new nominee within the span of a couple of months? We barely trust them to ensure Biden wins the election, so why would drastically changing course make things any better? Also, if they do replace him, it'll 99.9% be Kamala, who has her own set of issues. And, sadly, I don't think the state of this country would vote for a Black/Asian female president.

as an American, I have to thank you for putting this as straightforward as possible without fear-mongering or hyperbole.

we’ve had awful presidents before- hell, we’ve had THIS (tr*mp) awful president before, and the country still survived. for the majority of folks, the local and state elections are where they will see real change in their day to day lives. a lot more focus and energy should go toward that. 

 

but at the end of the day, we don’t know what will happen, and as hard to accept as it is, it’s the truth. so much tv time and effort is spent on trying to come up with predictions, but we really don’t know what will happen until it does.
