I think it's a combination of things, primarily because she has worked with Dr. Luke and the fanbase has always had a sour taste towards her after the Applause vs Roar era. 

I was hoping Katy would've taken a different artistic approach with this era, but the snippets and lyrics suggest it's gonna be trash and her music career will take a nosedive.
