Just two months ago the Republicans were sh*tting themselves because Biden showed up at the SOTU address sharp and energetic. Behind closed doors, even his political ENEMIES admit how sharp and intelligent he is. There's literal video of him jogging to supporters after the debate despite how stiff being 80 has made his body. He has one iffy debate performance against a watered down Hitler with 34 felony charges that spent an hour and a half lying and people panic and want the Democratic party to abandon its incumbent president. It's ridiculous. I don't particularly care for Biden but he is absolutely the best chance the Democratic party has at beating Trump. Replacing him now, even if he stepped down and let Kamala run as incumbent, would be an enormous sign of weakness and burn many moderates' faith in the D party. Not to mention the primaries have already been held. It wouldn't just be foolish, it'd be downright idiotic. The fact that you don’t see he is not fit to be president is unfathomable to me. If it were a few mistakes, sure he could get away with it, but the man literally cannot form a complete sentence, the president of the United States cannot be a vegetable. It’s not just the right screaming about this, a majority of the left don’t think Biden is fit after that debate. We need someone from the left to step up - if he stays on, we will lose 100% in November. There’s zero enthusiasm for Biden from the left………. And this was the nail in the coffin. He should have been grooming a successor, along with most of the other Democratic Party leadership. Kamala could have earned herself the black, Latino, and gay vote being seen working on those sorts of issues. And she could have gotten older Americans by getting along with Biden and forming an image together. The female vote would be relatively easy if she was vocal about women's rights during SCOTUS. And really she would have gotten younger Americans by talking about being a "younger leader" and understanding bridging the needs of generations for successful future generations. Biden should have never considered a second term, ever. And he did this country a huge disservice by either having Kamala as VP or by not pushing her into Americans' eyes more. He handicapped his heir apparent very early on in his presidency. Yes, the role of the VP has become a sort of punching bag/distraction for the media in modern times but in his particular situation he should’ve lifted her up a little more. He was a very old president coming in and he had a younger, female VP. He knew eyes were gonna be on her more than for any other VP in history because she was potentially the future of America. Instead of trying to cultivate her he dumped immigration on her to save his ass and let her drown. This should’ve been an immediate giveaway that he was always planning on running for a second term. I feel a little bad (but not really) for Kamala. She comes off as obnoxious and phony so frequently because she’s always on the defensive. The thought of being scrutinized is always on her mind because that’s all she’s known in the role. I bet it kills her that this administration didn’t let her take complete control of the abortion topic as well. She should’ve been spearheading the conversation loud and proud but Biden has kept her relatively under wraps because he can’t have her getting too presidential lest the public start questioning why the geezer is in power…oh wait. I definitely feel like they both could have won in their positions. Had she continued her "We did it Joe" narrative, they probably would have looked strong together. And I feel like Biden would have gained in the polls had he positioned Kamala as a strong female in power, especially during the abortion issue. It's also on the DNC for not strong arming this more. They had a good blueprint for the next 12-16 years had they just pushed Harris more as the VP while letting Biden run his second term. Harris could be taking some of the spotlight in both good ways and bad ways. Then she could have ran in 2028 with somebody like Hakeem Jeffries. And put someone like Stacey Abrams and Katy Porter in her cabinet.

You know, for all the people complaining that these are our two options (myself included), we also have to look inward and recognize that this is largely a problem we caused ourselves. The reason why these two are the nominees is because people vote for them, and while I understand issues like gerrymandering and voter suppression exist, at the end of the day, we still let them win their respective elections. This goes to show that voting is important across the board. We can't just vote during the presidential elections. Vote in the primaries. Vote for your local officials. Vote for your senators and representatives. If we want to do better, we must be active and vote in elections other than the presidency. 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔪𝔬𝔫𝔰𝔱𝔢𝔯 𝔱𝔬𝔯𝔢 𝔞𝔴𝔞𝔶 𝔦𝔱𝔰 𝔪𝔞𝔰𝔨 𝔞𝔫𝔡...𝔦𝔱𝔰 𝔣𝔞𝔠𝔢 𝔴𝔞𝔰 𝔪𝔦𝔫𝔢. I didnt even whatch the debate, so this debate has no sway on my opinion. Theres been so many gaffs and even when he speaks he often seems slow to process for a solid couple years now I also have not heard a single Biden enemy talk about how sharp he is. Where did u hear this? Of course id take Biden over Trump any day but why they are backing an 80 year old for such an important and stressful job and that requires so much endurance ill never understand Call me ageist but i think for certain jobs or tasks age does matter after a certain point. Especially one where mental aquity is critical and ur making decisions on behalf of countless millions and the state of your mind is at the very least in question

Biden clearly showed that he’s not as strong against Trump this time around after the debate, and I think the Dems need to act fast if they want to replace him on the ballot. No, they want Biden to step down so another Democrat can beat Trump. Its almost a fact Trump is a winner, so they want someone better than Biden to Challenge Trump.
