New York Times calls for Biden to drop out

This is from their editorial board so it’s like their official opinion. Could be a blow to Biden because the NYTs is an esteemed publication among the wealthier donors of the Democratic Party. This alone won’t be a deciding factor but it’s kind of crazy how every entity that propped him up is turning on him. I think they’ve disliked him for years but couldn’t say anything out of fear of offending the older, very influential American population. They saw their chance and said “f*ck it, mask off.”

I mean... NYT has been swinging right for years now, between all the transphobia and zionist propaganda they've been shamelessly spreading. Of course they'd be backing the growing criticism of Biden lol

And in this instance they're not wrong... but I really don't see him stepping down. We're gonna get Trump back in the White House and Biden's legacy will be the president that funded the Palestinian genocide and steered his country towards total fascism out of pride. It's so f*cking depressing.

The greatest public service former President Trump can now perform is to announce that he will not run for re-election.

Trump did nothing but lie last night. He has been lying for years. I’d rather have a slow speaking man rather than a fast talker who spews nothing but garbage. Both parties should have better candidates, but between these two there’s clearly one that will be fair and another that has his own self interest and will only bring on those loyal to him.

The election is literally months away. I think it’s too late now.

Look I don’t know who’s gonna win but I will vote for whoever is on the democratic ballot in November.

All I know is the Democratic Party better get it together and look at who can run for 2028 because imo whoever is running should be 50 years or younger when they take office. Nobody over that age should even be a possible candidate.

Oh, for sure he’s not stepping down. He’s got his team spinning his NC rally as a triumphant comeback, he has Kamala, Gavin, and Gretchen in line and subordinate, and he got Obama to publicly double down on him. He said he ain’t moving. :icant:

Still, I think this is a noteworthy occurrence because he’s entered himself into the books as the man that gave such a poor debate performance that he sent his party into a panic and set back his own campaign because of a risk that wasn’t even necessary.

We really need to set a required retirement age for politicians. maximum age being 80.

Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”

Very.

Imagine how absolutely stupid the Dem party would have to be to ditch an incumbent president for a rush job primary.

Whimsical bitch

Its way too late, they should have allowed other candidates to challenge Biden. When the whole world was saying Biden is weak, Democrats told people to lie to themselves.

I think it's more like. They absolutely know he will be crushed by Trump at this point if he isn't replaced. Idk how there is a path to victory after that all-time floppage.
