Jack Antonoff produced about half of Sabrina Carpenter’s upcoming album

Jack is a very talented producer and he has worked on some of my favorite albums ever (Melodrama and Norman Rockwell) but he has also worked with that same people and followed with not so great albums. Whether this is Lorde or Lana’s direction or just what Jack has to offer, he’s very good at what he does. 

I think working with Sabrina is going to be a good thing, he usually does well with fresh collaborators.

I can't forgive him for what he said about Gaga and Katy in 2014. He's not a fan of pop music, or at least that is how he comes across.

This.  Taylor is a great songwriter but she needs new collaborators.  Each album from Fearless to folklore had a completely different sound.  However, the majority of her last two albums kinda blend together into a 50-song bland mix of monotony.  There are certainly songs on I like on Midnights, and TTPD; but those are the songs that sound different from the rest of the album.  Evermore only has one Antonoff song, which it why I think I felt refreshed when I revisited it about a month ago. 
 

I think with Taylor and Jack put a lot of effort into a couple of songs and then the rest just kinda exist.  Take reputation for example.  Jack worked on LWYMMD (lead single), Getaway Car (the fan-favorite on the album), and then the last four songs that don’t make a big impact (despite some great lyrics they sound kinda bland).

He's talented but he and Taylor need a break. While their songs together aren't bad, they don't bring anything new to the table like everyone here's been saying. It all sounds the same. 

I really wish she takes a break after the tour and tries to switch things up for the next record. Do something more pop/rock and bring back real instruments like she did on her first albums (ts, fearless, speak now..)

I hadn't seen before what he said about Gaga and Katy, but how sad is it to see someone like him (producer/musician) trashing other artists as if you could compare them. What's the point of the comparison? Just say you like working with Taylor and are amazed of her level of success.
