I really hope she starts acting real now and do what she wants vs doing what her father/media/fans want.

Same, he's the longest relationship she's ever had by a longshot, the ultimate outlier in her infamously short "3 months on average" romantic history. You can't be with someone that long and not have them be in the running for The One. He's everything she looks for and there were even rumours they got secretly engaged. Even I was somewhat saddened to hear they'd broken up. Travis is a major turnaround. Totally different from her ex in every way and she's super public with him to the extent she's never been before. In other words, he screams "rebound." Many even think it's a PR relationship. It's like she dated 5 British guys in a row (Harry, Calvin, Tom, Joe, Matty) and thought it was time for a change so she deliberately went against type and went for the all-American guy to match her all-American girl status - tall and broad with a beard, NFL player, rugged and manly, a man's man. Like the idea was to really stick it to Joe that she'd traded up. But Matty and Travis followed so soon after Joe that I think she's still healing and has moved on way too quickly.

Travis's ex who spoke about him being a cheater is unsurprising. Most football players cheat. Taylor must know of this reputation, which is why I suspect she's never dated an athlete. She's taking a huge risk by being with him because the amount of women who get cheated on by these men are numerous. Even getting married and having kids doesn't keep a lot of these men faithful. And years ago, Travis said that his 3 deal breakers were girls who didn't give oral, girls who don't put out by the third date and girls who take too many selfies. That list sounds like a guy who's a walking red flag. With her history and her desire for a forever love, an NFL player isn't who Taylor should be pursuing. But like I said, I think she knows this, even if it's just subconsciously. She just struggles to be alone. Some people are like that - they need someone to tide them over no matter how unsuitable they are, until someone who's actually eligible comes along.

Yes, it was. I'm not a fan of the album as a whole but you can feel how much she loved him. Lover is THAT song imo.

What he said seems pretty reasonable, though nothing really to be talking about (I have seen numerous post about this interview and he doesn't really say anything about what happened but people will always talk I guess)

You're not the only one who thinks like this about Travis, it's just he doesn't even seem as smart or interesting as her exes, just look at the ones that she dated before: Jake, Harry, Tom and Joe are superior also the fact that she wrote 3 albums of love songs about him, she's never written anything like that before and even TTPD has more breakup songs about Matty. Like maybe Joe was the love of her life at some point

But anyways it's over now, as long as she's happy now.

I mean there's multiple ways to have privacy in a relationship. 

What I always criticised him for, was that he got with someone who was and still is famous for using her songwriting as a diary and even now seems completely confused at the idea that she wrote good and bad songs about him (including songs he wrote with her). 

Its a red flag to me if you expect someone to change who they are for you, especially when you got with that person fully aware of who they were and that you didn't want that. 

Otherwise, all the crazed theories about what their very private relationship was like (we know so little compared to all her others) are just insane swifites.

Yes. Both Lover and Reputation. Reputation was when they met, basically, most songs are about him. Same as Lover when their relationship grew stronger. Lover (title track) is all him. I just love this album.
