So about that McDonald's Israel and McDonald's International (which includes McSpain) were not the same entity, McIsrael were franchising so they only bought the rights to use the name and the menu but were independent from McInternational, so any decision of McIsrael was independent, including the donation of the meals to the Israeli military. But 1-2 months ago McInternational bought the rights back from McIsrael because of the whole backlash situation, so I guess this incident will not happen again. So in other words, McSpain and McIsrael were not the same up to a few months ago but now they are under the same umbrella.
