I really don't get this.

Like always 1-3 viral tweets are blown out of proportion and exaggerated to make it seem like it’s a hot topic.

Nah, the film absolutely wants you to be sympathetic to him (as poorly as that may be executed)

We have forgotten our public MANNERS

"rodent men"???

Are they actually serious? These examples are good looking guys what a sh*tty thing to call them. That's gonna do wonders for men's self esteem if the slang catches on. Especially when men's mental health is at an all-time low.

Beauty standards and vanity has gotten completely out of hand. Anyone who is not 100% a 10 is now on par with a rat? fu.

Imagine if they started calling women "rodent women".. that would go down like a ton of bricks these days. Double standards again.

I can't tell if you didn't read the article or if you just hate rats.

Well the article is clearly a lode of dumb bs so i just scanned through it. I'm sorry but how is comparing a man to a rodent or rat, or calling them medium-ugly a compliment?

It's pretty insensitive imo. Conventional beauty standards on social media just don't apply in the real world. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and anyone who thinks differently is shallow af imo.

I guess some people don't find rodents to be as repulsive as you do.

Idk if you're trolling me or not. I don't find rats repulsive but they are not attractive creatures and are universally hated. Scavengers, sewer dwellers and pests. In what world are they now used as ideas of positive beauty standards? Seems idiotic to me. Even people who do have rodent like features like a pointy nose or big sticking out ears won't like to be called rodent-like that's just cruel.

Try telling the next girl you see that she looks like a rodent and see how well that goes down.

It sounds like you do find rats repulsive and you're instilling those views on everyone else. I'm not trolling either. I used to have a pet rat named Persephone and she was absolutely adorable.

That's very nice and all, but calling someone a rodent or a rat is a derogatory, universal insult and always has been, regardless of whether you find them cute or not.

Well, it seems like times are changing and people are starting to realize that rats are intelligent survivors and not inherently disease-riden scavengers. There's been a huge movement toward keeping them as pets in recent years. Maybe in another decade we'll collectively view them like we do hamsters and capybaras.
