It’s not just her making this money. This tour had to have cost a lot and have a ton of crew and designers to make all of it happen. She is putting in the time and energy, so I think it is well-deserved. And the demand is there so

I don't wanna be a shady hater and I don't want to say she doesn't deserve it, I know that's played out, but I think she doesn't put much energy. Sometimes it feels like she performs in slow motion or at half potential. And if you study art and consume a lot of art, you can see clearly in her performance that she is doing it to sell and be seen, she wants it to spread out as much as possible. That's totally fine, but we need to point it out. Stanislavsky has the perfect quote: "love the art in you, not you in art" and I feel like she does the latter. I can't really swallow it tbh

It's very sad that your hate for her doesn't allow you to see how hard she works because saying that she's not putting energy into this tour is a pretty unfortunate comment, you don't have to like her, I understand it, but you shouldn't make ignorant comments either because that woman works hella hard and deserve her success :bye:

Not to diminish the success but hasn't this tour been going on for 2 years or something and it's STILL going on? I'm sure this amount of money is not that impressive considering the amount of shows she's done is the reason behind it.

I didn't say she doesn't put energy, I said she is not energetic when performing, and I said some more things. She indeed puts a lot of energy in increasing sales

Many tours have been longer than the eras tour and has never come close to this success… it only has 160 shows and for example the monster ball had 206 shows and lasted 2 years Elton John’s last tour had 330 shows and lasted like 4 years didn’t even hit the 1 billion mark Taylor is definitely going to hit 3 billion and many more millions of fans attending so it’s extremely impressive

A lot of her songs are mellow or slower paced. She’s also not known for her “energy” or dancing, so she won’t be going all out for that. A majority of her fans are there for her lyricism and belt their hearts out on songs they’ve heard throughout their childhood and teenage hood. And to do 3 1/2 hour shows back to back for 2-3+ days in a row can be exhausting physically and mentally. So we should be giving her credit for that.

It’s been going on for a year and three months now. But she’s only been doing 2-3 days a week on average with a couple 1-3 month breaks in between.

It’s been 1 year. That’s what happens when there’s demand.

It's a 3 hrs 30 show and she's not a dancer what do you expect? She hits her marks when needed and does more with the staging and stuff than choreo.

I guess, but aren't Taylor's all stadium? I don't think comparing shows in smaller venues is valid.

I know it's her style and she doesn't dance, what I expect is more truth and execution from the guts and less plastic and robotic, it all feels superficial, too vanilla-y, I don't know, that's just my feeling, the problem is y'all act like everyone should love it and no negative critic should ever be directed at her. The more people act like she's un-criticizable, the more people criticize. It's just that we see her being so idolized like she's a genius and we're like "I don't see it". That's just it.

If you came here to complain please get a job. Complaining about Taylor is not a career. Some of you treat it like one.

Lmao they blocked my signature

No her earnings per single show are all time high too :rip: By comparison Ed's Divide tour had 100 more dates (260 total) and half the box office, Elton John's Farewell tour had 330 shows and also potentially only half the tour gross. Coldplay's tour is the closest in the amount of dates (177) and seemingly earned the most per show out of all examples (excluding shorter tours like Renaissance) but it also doesn't come close to the alleged average gross per Eras show.

I think the 2.1 number is inflated and deliberately labeled as revenue rather than tour gross but it's pretty much confirmed by now that the tour crossed the 1 billion box office mark with less dates than every other tour that came close.
