Like if we are talking about pop music, yeah sure. But I don't think, for example, ppl who upload 6-hour long pieces on bandcamp really care that much.

i mean dont be, if the artists want to stress about it that their own problem darling, and what a useless hill to die on, if you like the music and it made you feel good in some type of way thats all that matters, they both made a shitload of money anyway and they'll be fine no matter what, Gaga didnt care when applause didn't debut at #1 cause the song was a love letter to her fans and her community, her codependency to it and how making them feel good is the most important thing!
