Dua Lipa - Radical Optimism tour

The white tent belongs to the venue Waldbühne as a roof, just like at the Hollywood Bowl in LA.

I was there and aside from the rain the concert was incredible. You could see an improvement in her performance from the last tour, most of her older songs got a new arrangement or were remixed. The atmosphere was very energetic and we never sat down for the whole concert.

The only thing I'm not happy with is the lack of songs from Radical Optimism. I was so looking forward to Falling Forever and Maria. She also could've performed Hotter Than Hell or Scared To Be Lonely. Dance The Night being only an interlude was also a surprise.

But i I will definitely go to her concert again :)

This is not the confirmed setlist for the actual tour. This is only a summer concert and there’s only 4-5 dates.

Do you have a source that says this is a "summer concert" and not the actual tour, because all the promotional material I've seen thus far says the tour started tonight in Germany at that festival?

I must say that this roll out has been very weird. The tour is a tour but it's not a tour? Is this the show she'll be doing everywhere? Compared to her previous tour it seems like a downgrade and the setlist is super short and lacking most of the new songs like others mentioned..

My guess is she had a shorter time slot at this festival.  I feel like she’ll add more songs (Falling Forever, Maria, End of an Era, Dance the Night, and hopefully a few more from self-titled) to have a full two-hour show after the festival run is over.  Plus, at festivals you’ve gotta focus on what the general audience wants to hear, since many aren’t coming specifically for her.

I can get my head around six of the Future Nostalgia tracks, but why Pretty Please.  It could have easily been substituted for another song and people probably wouldn’t care.

There was no festival. It‘s just her concert.

Apparently a lot more of my friends went yesterday than I thought and all of them had a similar opinions to yours and enjoyed the concert a lot (minus the freezing rain situation😅).

to sum up this discussion here:

people who like her will go to her concert will enjoy the show.

people who don’t like her probably won’t go to her concert because they wouldn’t enjoy her show.

can we now stop the dogpiling on a musician that’s clearly happy in what they’re doing? thx byeeee :bye::kiss:

TAIPEI

what on earth is that stage? the setlist? 17 songs only?

her tour will come to taiwan and i was decided to get the tickets last week when i saw the tour dates, maybe i should think long and hard for a while now :saladga:

even Gaga's showcase/ festivals stage setting are better than this.

All i see is silly. negative comments, do people get it's a festival date and not a solo Dua Lipa Gig, hence the stage, etc?

I think she's slaying! becoming a better dancer and better vocalist. So glad I'll get to see her in Rock Werchter!

I think this is just a promo tour, Madonna for example, between 2005 and 2006 did a promo tour for her album "Confessions on a Dance Floor" and the show was just more than 30 minutes with 5-6 songs (4 songs from COADF only).
