Why not just letting ARTPOP behind and getting fresh stuff fitting to her recent persona and well-being ?

No shade I love the song, but  she literally said 'love me for what I am righ now, not what I use to be'. She's done with some of her past trauma, and ARTPOP is probably her most traumatic time.

She should have replaced Do What U Want with this on new pressings of ARTPOP since it was a down to the wire last minute call to cut it.

Ok, but honestly ARTPOP feels like the best opportunity to do a Gaga's Version. A revised tracklist, artist curated edition.

The original version of Burqa. Brooklyn Night's. Perhaps she could iron out the rights to Do What U Want to finally get a solo version with no ties to R. Kelly. Plus, Brooklyn Nights, I Wanna Be With You, and some other finished tracks from those sessions.

That's a much more reasonable ask than Act II, mostly because it would be treated as a side project/re-release and not weighed against her other albums in terms of sales and streams. The way TV records are treated as bonuses rather than new albums.

It feels like the fairest way to heal the wounds of ARTPOP for herself and the fans.

Gaga knows the song is out there, we all know, love and listen to it. Pretty sure she doesnt see a need to release it because its already out there. Why „waste“ a spot on a new album with a song about a  relationship that ended 12 years ago.

Maybe some day as part of a unreleased or anniversary edition but i dont see it on lg7

Honestly, unless it fully takes off on Tiktok like Back That Up did for Madonna its not going to get released.

If streaming was as big as it is now when it first leaked I think the record company would have felt forced to release it to capitalise on the streams. Now, its just not going to be on their radar.

Wouldn't want it on the album knowing it's an old song. maybe as a droplet someday?

I doubt it, but maybe there will be a song that will be a reference to Brooklyn Nights. I'm not saying it will happen, but I'd like it to happen.

I would die if this happened :rip:, I love when she acknowledges her past stuff

Sometimes I have the impression that there's some legal barrier that stops Gaga from releasing this kinda stuff, she could've released Princess Die for BTW10, for example, or Brooklyn Nights for ARTPOP, but she didn't. And why we don't have a live album for GCB?

The only thing that comes to my mind is the Taylor Swift masters situation.

See you at the beach. XOXO, The Mistress of Mayhem.

Brooklyn Nights is a beautiful song, but I don't think it would fit on LG7. It would be nice if she releases it as a standalone song at some point though

Let's snip TI from JnD while we're at it.
