Teletubby 140,077
For Dopamine, Normani tapped into her pop, hip-hop, and R&B roots — "the Janets, the Beys, the Aaliyahs, the Britneys" she idolized as a kid — artists with whom she shares DNA and for whom she is a clear successor. She also took inspiration from women in her own life and the things they've been through to weave together an album that is both personal and, she hopes, universal. One of the LP's standout tracks, the new single "Candy Paint," leaked two years ago, but her followers — and the singer herself — loved it so much that she decided she had to have it on the album. You won't find "Motivation.' Of all her previous singles, only 2021 single "Wild Side" made the final cut.
Edonis 28,896
Nothing she's put out sounds like any of those four artists though. I'm kind of still rooting for her because I think she had potential to usher in a new era of r&b pop for younger generations, but everything she's put out has been uninteresting. Unless it's full of hidden gems, I fear this album will flop hard.

djBuffoon 12,030
Not trying to be funny, I can't believe she still has not released a debut album. EDIT: Just read about the challenges she faced the last few years, I get it. Edited May 31, 2024 by djBuffoon

clownery 4,845
Her career outcome is kinda sad considering that Normani is way more interesting than Camila Cabello. Honestly shame on her management, absolutely terrible decisions career wise.
Stephen 30,339
Ok but it’s her BEST SONG by far so it makes sense to me! Kinda like Azealia Banks including 212 on her debut album 3 years after the song came out
