Jennifer Lopez's latest film Atlas premiered on Netflix on Friday, but it hit the service amid a wave of withering negative reviews from film critics.

The science-fiction thriller earned a disappointing 17 percent rotten rating from the critics surveyed by Rotten Tomatoes, indicating a solid wave pans.

Metacritic, which accounts for the strength of pans and praise, assigned the film a score of 38 out of 100, indicating 'generally unfavorable' reviews.

Here's what critics have been saying:
Digital Spy
"Netflix's new epic Atlas is like putting together every cliché in the sci-fi book (including Hollywood's obsession with apocalyptic AI) without a clue of how to mash them into something worth viewers' time."

Variety
"Atlas is predictable, overlong and bland, the kind of experience it’s hard to get excited about when the star player seems to be perfunctorily running the bases."

TheWrap
"Hidden somewhere beneath all the generic dialogue, embarrassing plot, mediocre action and oddly ineffective performances, there’s a good idea in Brad Peyton’s Atlas. It’s a shame the filmmakers never found it."

Collider
"Atlas struggles with a weak script and underutilized performances, leaving it an entertaining yet ultimately unfulfilling experience."

I love J.Lo as an actress and hate that she's so hated now :rip:

On positive note, I don't think is JLo acting being criticized but weak movie.

I was never really the biggest JLo fan but did she do anything specific to flop this hard or is it just her being a diva and a horrible person catching up? :partysick:

Is there some reason my LG7 isn't here? Has she died or something?

She's never been a great actress and got attached to questionable movies (since Anaconda) so it's nothing new

I just finished watching it and I actually really enjoyed it (more than her last Netflix movie The Mother)
