Ok computer higher than Homogenic is hysterical. My issue with these lists is they always throw a few electronic albums in to seem fresh but they’re ALWAYS way below the top 10 as if by default no electronic album has done that. Not saying bjork HAS to be there but if you’re throwing Radiohead’s Homogenic inspired album up there, the blueprint needs to be higher. They didn’t perfect what she’d already perfected.

Finally someone mentioning how these lists neglect electronic music as a whole.

Meh, so many WRONGS in this list, starting by the number 1, seriously? Seems like the fact that she announced a new album really took some asshole to pull up a list out of their butthole where that's the best album ever! I think it's a great album, but bitch please.

I’m sorry but Like a Prayer over Ray of Light?? There’s room for both but RoL is routinely ranked her best album. Electronic dance music gets paid DUST

even if you put Homogenic higher it’s like…they basically put it on to say “there we fulfilled the electronic music quotient” as this album especially always does. Now it should be there it’s an amazing album. But there’s a LOT of amazing electronic music that should be here. Hell, every one of these albums is a vocal album FOR STARTERS. That’s already gonna knock a lot of electronic music out

The Fame Monster

The Fame Monster deserves to be ranked higher, and Born This Way should be included in the list as well. 0ed1cc18749469.562cea47776ad.jpg

I've never listened to Lauryn Hill's album, so I'm giving it a listen now. :music:

I didn’t really agree with a majority of the rankings honestly, and I struggle with how unclear the methodology was. Some of the albums on the lower tier had massive cultural impact and should be ranked higher. At a minimum I wish they had got more feedback on it because there are some really odd placements and clear recency bias for a list that is supposed to be about album impact. I’m also concerned some of the recency bias is there because of how different music charts have been through the decades. I actually haven’t listened to misadventures though, so I don’t have an opinion on that album yet. I’m excited to give it a go over the weekend though!

4th Time Around

Not a terrible list but a few of these placements are real head scratchers

The Velvet Underground and Nico should have been much higher, you are talking about a top 15 most influential album in history because whole genres would not exist without Lou Reed

Thriller is way too high, the hits are good but the deep cuts range from forgettable to straight up garbage like that McCartney feature

Fiona Apple being totally snubbed from the list is a crime

1989 TV that high? The original is not even top 100 and TV is an inferior version of the original, GTF out of here with that nonsense

Hey, I'm king of the world, you ought to hear my song, you come on measure me, I'm twenty inches long
