like Taylor has a very approachable sound & Beyoncé’s release was more pop/country which is generally popular rn (in the US at least)

So her hitting those numbers while doing whatever she wants musically is super awesome 

billie’s music is not weird, it’s still pop. maybe not “grocery store” pop like swift but nonetheless still easily digestible to the average listener

So I've listened to all of the "AOTY contenders"

Ari, Taylor, Bey and Billie

I'm a casual Ari fan but the album just felt like more of the same, nothing new nothing change same ol, although WCBF is THE song omg.

Taylor I basically hate-listened to because I don't like to give opinions without actually engaging with the art. It was a snooze fest where all the tracks run together in my mind with only a handful of memorable choruses, if that. 

Beyonce's, as a long time fan (like were talking 97,98 Destiny's Child days) was disappointing not because it was bad. It's actually amazing vocally, production, etc. But even though I grew up in the south, I just don't vibe too much with that type of country and idk it didn't HIT ME HARD AND SOFT like Renaissance did ...

Billie's album, granted I have loved her ever since I heard @BELLYACHE on a random Spotify playlist, shook me! She really said I'm going to serve vocals, production, innovative song structure, story, concept, etc...just such a beautiful work! AND the fact that it's literally just two people is enough to give them the Grammy imo

Why is everyone in here such a hater lately these are all good albums. Eternal Sunshine is EASILY one of Ari’s best and received critical acclaim.
