so someone has evidence that Drake did something horrible but didn't do anything about it until his beef with Kendrick?

One million percent this and really pisses me off. If you have evidence of wrong doing then bring it out. Don’t THREATEN to do it. What an A-hole, clout chasing thing to do. I had the same reaction when Christian Keyes talked about someone assaulting him (and never said who) and then everyone assumed it was Tyler Perry and it wasn’t the case. This behavior is what is truly dangerous to actual victims. Helping victims isn’t optional and should be the priority. Gross.

I'm honestly happy to see Drake's downfall. Drake to me was always the symbol of how straight people could get away with sh!t that LGBTQ+ people get hurt with. Bigots say "gAyS aRe GrOoMeRs" when someone trans breathes, yet here we have Drake who has actually groomed people sliding by.

The fact that you think either of these artists makes trap is absolutely wild 🪦

Ma’am these are RAPPERS not TRAPPERS. Meaning they make RAP music… also trap music will never die lol. All trendy music since 90s had some elements of trap including Dark Horse, Formation, 7 Rings, Needed Me, Without me, God is a woman, Bitch I’m Madonna, High by the beach, Bitch Better Have My Money, Applause, I Did Something Bad, Manicure  (ala snares). :trollga:

Yall must be kidding. You must be. Any song with that tired-ass stuttering clicking ticking snare drum noise throughout is trap.

"Trap Drake

In recent years, Drake has incorporated elements of different genres into his work while they are at the peak of their popularity.

Given that trap music is now at the forefront of popular music, it's no surprise that the genre plays a leading role on "Dogs."

We're introduced to trap Drake as soon as the album begins, with the Canadian rapper speaking crudely of a former flame over rolling triplets on "Virginia Beach.""

And Applause and Minicure are not trap. :lmao: Jewel and Drugs has elements if trap.

Yall must be kidding.

That article you cited literally says Drake has employed *elements* of trap, but neither Drake nor Kendrick are *primarily* trap artists. But I shouldn’t have expected any less than needless condescension from the good sis Spartacus.

I didn't say they were "trap artists". When I say "trap music" I mean music with that tired-ass clicking ticking noise throughout the song. So I meant music with a "trap beat". Apparently a "trap artist" mostly raps about drug use and I guess Drake nor Lamar do that (not that I would know since I don't listen to "trap beat" music. However, from what I have heard from them, the majority of their current music is drowned in that tired-ass trap beat).

Forgive me for intruding but your post literally said "it was wild to even think either of these artist did trap". This obviously left some of us scratching our heads because everyone who has ears knows drake atleast has experimented with trap.

Someone actually post receipts proving your assertion was wrong. The least you could do is gracefully back-track without trying to be shady.:bear:

It's hard for me to like or appreciate Kendrick after he said f*ggot 10 times to "show that he knows he shouldn't say it" or whatever bs excuse everyone made lmao :madge:

Excited for any real tea to come out of this. Drake is the #1 of rappers, top 2 most successful artists of the last 15 years w Taylor Swift, so he definitely got some big skeletons in the closet

They…literally didn’t lmao. To insinuate that this beef destroying their careers would end trap insinuates that they are predominantly trap artists (which Spartacus acknowledged in their reply). But I love that you’re talking about “gracefully backtracking” with egg on your face after being shady about this beef not being serious (which we all know is exactly why you responded to my comment). So, no, you’re not forgiven for intruding. Pot, meet kettle.

I actually called it another silly rap beef that hopefully no one will care about in the nearest future, which is actually what it is.

I mean yay for Drake's problematic side coming to light but like i said, We been knew. Kendrick is not doing us any favours.

Now that we're on it, you and the other 3 delulus can stop referring to me without directly @ing me and lmaoing my posts like toddlers .:ohwell:

Also, learn to stay on topic. Deflecting from why i quoted you doesn't make your point any less inaccurate . don't be unfortunate.

didn't the lyric end with "let's say it together, only if you allow a white woman to say n-word" or smth? I think his point was that black rappers shouldn't be using that word and that it should elicit the same backlash as the n-word.

Sis listen to the instrumental of Applause there’s snares in there.  To be specific during the verses you hear the snare. It’s nothing major. I’m not sure if you’re trolling but that’s an element of trap music. Does that make Gaga a trap artist? Does Ariana get a pass as a trap artist? If Drake or Kendrick use elements of trap in their music does that make them a trap artist? My point is yes some artists like using elements of trap music in their own music. But that doesn’t make them a TRAP artist or that they make TRAP music.

Omg wait, you might be onto something, I kinda hear it now:wtfga:

@SPARTACUS if you listen to just the instrumentals with speakers you can actually hear it unintentionally kinda sounds like a trap song.

There's something about the mixing. How is this just hitting me or am I glitching again :laughga:

I still wouldn't list it as a song with trap influences though compared to artist who have actually released songs that would fit perfectly on a trap playlist
