Anyways, coming form an ACTUAL editor, this looks pretty well done. Colorization is very true to form (meaning it looks like it looked in real life, no crazy saturations or efects). The cuts are well placed because you can feel the energy of the performance through the screen and not “notice” the cuts. My only complain is the audio. Her voice could be a bit clearer, but that could also be audio compression for tik tok.

I’m also glad they only shot 1 date because that means there wont be many continuity errors.

overall, seriously this is not a bad editing job based on this 30s. I’ll be laughing at all of you when the 16:9 format gets released and suddenly ya’ll are gonna love it

I could still see certain interludes cut down to just before the song starts song though, if not outright omitted (like the bleached floral arrangement that appears before 911).

I think my meaning with this post is pretty obvious. I’m clearly not talking about the fact it’s Lady Gaga performing Babylon, that much is obvious. It’s very much a comment on the editing.

The part where the keyboard player is doing the intro yes, that one can definitely be cut. What I think cant be cut is Chromatica II (which has part of the floral arrangement) because the dancers enter and do some choreo. 

The one I fear for the most cause its the one that can be completely cut and doesn't affect any sort of entrance is the operation interlude before Alice. The Tamara interlude can also be cut, going from BTW straight into Shallow

Wait I actually disagree about cutting the act i interlude - it's true that there's a lack transition into the start of chromatica i, but it doe serve a narrative purpose of her descent in madness (and essentially her mind). I don't think the entire thing will be shown, but the operating table scenes should be kept in tact imo. Otherwise her appearance on the table for Alice makes no sense.

Gibson deserved jail for cutting the interludes, never understood why she decided to not include them (maybe they were too much for the poor christian woman...)

Yeah I agree too. I would not cut it. Its not really necessary. But they could if they had a ver strict duration.
