She said she wrote songs for Britney but it didn't seem like Britney was aware her team were asking people to write songs for her.

I think she's secretly recording stuff here and there just to see if there's something good for an album but there's like no pressure to actually make it. And this is probably why she keeps saying stuff like "I'm not recording anything right now, I have no plans to make music anymore", etc. so people leave her alone about it in case she takes her time with it or changes her mind and doesn't make it.

If writing teams and studio sessions are involved, it's pretty unrealistic to believe a label would finance all that without the guarantee of a payoff.

They might have tried to build a team and get something started around the time she was freed but it seems like these prospects quickly fell through and are now old news.

Yeah. I could see a label being like, “if we can maybe convince her with good songs she’ll change her mind?” bc it’s not a matter of payoff. It’s a Britney record after all this time and all she’s gone through. It would smash and smash hard. So scouting writers and songs seems like a small investment if it can bring Britney out

Yeah. Writing camps for albums like LOUD and Femme Fatale had hundreds of songs from many writers, and on top of that it's known that teams sometimes turn down songs without the artists knowing. It is very plausible that Britney didn't know.

I just looked that up and I can't believe that they almost stopped him from doing it.  Thankfully she herself was fine with it.

Britney's team (Cade) and label are pushing her to record so they are doing a lot behind the scenes to try and get her to record and be in the studio but so far Britney's apparently pushing back. Sounds like Britney didn't even know about the songs being pitched for her at first, etc. I think RCA thought once she got freed from the conservatorship that she would get her drive back, but they clearly don't know how abusive and bad the cship was because the family ruined it for her right now. I hope she gets that drive back in time. She's always been her best when free.
