I’m genuinely curious about this, what exactly does the ceasefire entail? I am not saying this with any tone by the way. 

In my mind, it makes sense for the most actionable step to peace being a ceasefire that ends all attacks on innocent Palestinians and releases all innocent Israeli hostages. But what I’m seeing is that these protests (and counter protests) just advocate for one part of that deal. This is what’s keeping my support away from it and just roughly agreeing with the West’s approach.

I’m finding it’s hard to talk through this because this is such a walking on eggshells kind of topic.

Edit: I hate how they target young men. Joke as we do, but young men are easily the most malleable demographic out there, especially with social media.

Well the ad is about "patriot americans" reclaiming college campuses from people who wanna remove the U.S flag. That's the narrative he's going for. I think it'll resonate with his base and independents.

He can weaponize this issue, because his base cares about it. Whereas this issue is hurting Biden because his base is divided, between those who support protests and others who think they've gone too far in some cases.

So Trump is capitalizing on that division.

I think turning this into America vs. Palestine was a huge gift to him. It's much easier to defend attacking these protestors if he paints them as anti-America rather than anti-Israel.

I saw this video, and I have two comments:

1. All of the males in that video 99% look like that each have s3xually @ssaulted at least one person in their life time.

2. Behavior like this is precisely why I don't feel bad for conservative men when their personal issues aren't taken seriously. I said this already in another thread, but I will say it again because it's true. Karmic justice.

Third thing, normalize publicly exposing information on these people. They chose to act like this, so they should face the consequences of having their own lives become difficult as people find out everything on them.

Hamas has offered ceasefire proposals and to release all hostages multiple times. Israel is the party refusing to meet even the most agreeable conditions. They would rather continue this war than own up to the fact that they have been holding and abusing thousands of Palestinian hostages ("prisoners" from occupied areas, incl minors who didn't even get a trial) for years as well.

This is the crux of the whole issue: Israel is not a democratic country. It is an illegally occupying force that has been allowed to violate international law for decades. The protests are there to highlight the fact that Israel is able to systematically oppress an entire people with critical help from Western democratic countries, despite mountains of evidence that they do not deserve it, and that, in fact, our own countries are becoming in danger of being legally liable for supporting genocide and apartheid in the process.

As an aside, the fact that Congress is hosting Netenyahu as the ICC seems poised to issue a warrant for his arrest for his crimes in Gaza is ****ing nuts and a pretty salient reflection of the unholiness of the alliance the US has w/ Israel and highlights the prescience of these protests.
