Well...

I'm not a hater, I like her discography,I used to listen all lot to her songs when I was 12 yo.... But now that I know that Taylor is that popular bc her father put a lot of money to make her successful, and that ppl act like "woooow she's amazing, she will beat the Beatles record, she's a self-made woman" is just a big no to me.

Some women in this industry truly got hated, ashamed,... some of them got traumas.... Duffy, Kesha, Gaga, and many other. But you can't pretend that this day, when Kanye stand up and said what he said at VMA Award, he wasn't in a way right to say that she didn't deserved it. 

Ppl pretend that she defend artist's salary by boycotting Spotify, but in fact she just once again impose your leadership on this platform. And no, Spotify still don't pay well small artists. She had advantages on TikTok, Spotify and even Instagram but y'all act like it is normal cause yeah "she's the music industry" which is super dumb. Music industry isn't only all about money.

Ppl even dare compare her to poets. I study poets, the real tortured one, they had terrible lives and they weren't that powerful. There's many great and famous songwriters such as Lana, Mitski, Hozier etc... But they doesn't get the same credit. Also let's be real, vocalists are more important than songwriters, bc they are the one which gives meaning to lyrics by using their powerful voices.

I listened to her album and I feel like she doesn't wants to progress in interpreting talent, it feels monochordous. Pretty lyrics but not impressing enough. 

I respect ppl who liked this album but to me it feels too commercial for me, and it borrows the codes of alt indie in a perverted way because it's falsely modest.

I’d be genuinely curious to know what percent of these numbers is genuine listening vs background listening vs fans streaming for numbers.

It’s unfortunate we can’t have real data around this considering stans will repeat streams without actually listening just to boost numbers. This applies to many fanbases, definitely not just Taylor.

A number I’d be interested in seeing for this is how many unique users contributed to streams and how this data compares to other artists.

I’m glad people love the album, it hasn’t grabbed me personally yet.

Taylor's song with 25M streams has less than 200k streams filtered out while Dua Lipa had filtered out almost 300k from song with 3.9M last week; Sabrina Carpenter over 660k streams...
