Courtney Love: “Taylor Swift is probably the Madonna of now”

Courtney Love positively hates the idea of Taylor Swift. ‘Taylor is not important. She might be a safe space for girls, and she’s probably the Madonna of now, but she’s not interesting as an artist.’ And she’s even tiring a little of Lana Del Rey: ‘I haven’t liked Lana since she covered a John Denver song, and I think she should really take seven years off. Up until ‘Take Me Home Country Roads’ I thought she was great. When I was recording my new album, I had to stop listening to her as she was influencing me too much.’ And as for Madonna, ‘I don’t like her and she doesn’t like me.
'I like the idea of Beyoncé doing a country record because it's about Black women going into spaces where previously only white women have been allowed, not that I like it much. As a concept, I love it. I just don't like her music.’

well, i wouldn't call madonna totally unintresting, she did at least some revolutionary things back in the day

but for taylor and lana - no lies were told

lana's music started to annoy me even earlier then that. nfr was a huge drop in quality for me. chemtrails and banisters were a bit better tho

Lol poor Courtney’s about to get harassed by 10 million 12-year olds for the next year and a half. She’s always been brutally honest with her opinions on other celebrities and I think she has a right to express them just as everyone here does. (Also she’s kinda right)
